- Sports Medicine

A healthcare subspecialty which addresses the prevention and management of sports injuries. Sports medicine includes, but is not limited to: exercise physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology and sociology, sports nutrition, athletic training, and medical management.

Strive! Physical Therapy Centers are out-patient rehabilitation facilities specializing in sports medicine. We provide services including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries. Treatment is provided by a team of specialists, including: certified athletic trainers, exercise specialists, and physical therapists, often in cooperation with a sports medicine physician. Our sports medicine experience in Marion and Lake Counties includes:

- Occupational/Hand Therapy

We provide specialized treatment of all upper extremity conditions based on scientific protocols. Surgical and non-surgical conditions managed, focusing on optimal return to function. Specific treatments may include:
· Therapeutic Modalities
· Customized Splinting
· Progressive Exercise and Retraining in Activities of Daily Living

- Isokinetic Testing

We utilize Biodex machines to isokinetically test our patients as applicable.

- Wound Care

We provide the proper management of a variety of wounds through the use of debridement, whirlpool, etc.

- Health & Fitness Center

We are pleased to announce the newest addition to our product line - Strive! for Life Health & Fitness Centers. Strive! for Life, located at our Maricamp Center location, offers the latest in resistive and cardiovascular equipment, personal training, post-rehab care, and nutritional counseling. In addition, we will provide community education and special courses open to the public.
